COL. NAKALEMA HAILS YPA FOR TRANSFORMING UGANDA THROUGH AGRIBUSINESS AS ORGANISATION GIFTS LUCKY MEMBER

The Head of the State House Investors Protection Unit (SHIPU), Col. Edith Nakalema has commended the Youth Platform Africa (YPA) for transforming Uganda through agribusiness.

YPA empowers young people through commercial goat farming, agribusiness training, access to export markets, and financial incentives like the innovative Section B Giveaway Car program.

“As a company we are still growing. We are introducing agro-inputs and we shall soon be in position to supply the full range of agro products and services,” said Col. Nakalema who also serves as the YPA patron.

Today, Col. Ed Naka engaged in a pivotal meeting with Eng. James Kalibbala - Chair, National Standards Council) and Dr. John Patrick Kabayo - Vice Chair. COL. NAKALEMA, NIGERIAN HIGH COMMISSIONER DISCUSS INVESTOR PROTECTION AND ECONOMIC COOPERATION

The Head of the State House Investors Protection Unit (SHIPU), Col. Edith Nakalema, has today met and held fruitful discussions with the Nigerian High Commissioner to Uganda, H.E. Ambassador John Shama Shaga.

 During the meeting at SHIPU offices in Kampala, Col. Nakalema and her guest engaged in a wide-ranging discussion that focused on boosting investor protection, enhancing bilateral cooperation as well as fostering a secure and enabling environment for Nigerian investors in Uganda.

Youth Platform Africa (YPA) stands as a testament to the power of grassroots innovation, resilience, and youth-driven transformation in Uganda. Founded in 2008 as an ordinary village group of just 21 individuals meeting under a tree in Gomba district, YPA has evolved into one of Uganda’s most dynamic youth empowerment organizations, now boasting over 13,000 active members and three fully operational branches across the country.

The head of the State House Investors Protection Unit (SHIPU), Col. Edith Nakalema has warned government officials who have made it a tendency to frustrate investors, that the unit will deal with them accordingly to ensure that such aptness is eliminated from the system.

“Honestly we will not allow government ministries, Departments and Agencies to frustrate investors,” she warned.

The Head of the State House Investors Protection Unit (SHIPU), Col. Edith Nakalema yesterday met and held fruitful discussions with a delegation of Eritrean investors in Uganda. 

The investors are generally into hospitality, technology, energy and manufacturing. 

During a meeting held at SHIPU’s office in Kampala, Col. Nakalema assured the investors of Uganda’s commitment to ensure that their businesses thrive in the East African country.

The Head of State House Investors Protection Unit (SHIPU), Col. Edith Nakalema has today held a fruitful meeting with the leadership of the National Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC). 

 

NCDC is a corporate autonomous statutory institution under the Ministry of Education and Sports (MoE&S) responsible for the development of educational curricula for Pre-primary, Primary, Secondary and Tertiary institutions in Uganda.
