This morning, SHIPU officers met with Dr. Gerald Joseph Nyasulu, an Australian businessman of Malawian origin, along with his team, including Mr. Alex Edgar Echum and Counsel Jonathan Kavuma.

Dr. Nyasulu, who is also a minister of the word at Streams International in Australia, sought SHIPU’s intervention to address delays hindering the commencement of full business operations in Uganda.

Through his company, Koach Chayil Commodities Limited, Dr. Nyasulu aims to invest over USD $5 million in Uganda. The company has been actively engaged in the mineral value-chain across the East African Community for the past eight years and is now looking to establish its base in Uganda.

SHIPU remains dedicated to supporting investors by facilitating a smooth entry into Uganda’s business environment and ensuring that bureaucratic challenges are addressed efficiently. As we continue to enhance Uganda’s investment climate, we reaffirm our commitment to working collaboratively with stakeholders to unlock new economic opportunities.
