SHIPU Hosts UK and Bohras Community Business Delegation
The head of State House Investors Protection Unit (SHIPU) has today hosted a delegation from the United Kingdom and the Dawoodi Bohras Business Group.
Led by Hon. Amb. Jaffer Kapasi OBE DL, Consul General of Uganda in the Midlands, others were Zoheir Damanwala, representing Burhani Construction; Abdeali Jamaly, representing SMB Trade Centre and Syston Hardware; Dr. Murtazabhai Faizi and Dr. M. Alhussain (both Oxford University lecturers involved in a Health Centre & Medicine Manufacture initiative); Mufaddal Loyeolwala a real estate mogul; Mr. Willy Mutenza, MD, The Promota Africa Group and a representative of the Dawoodi Bohras Business Group.
During the meeting, Col. Nakalema assured the delegation of SHIPU's unwavering commitment to protecting their investments.
She emphasized SHIPU’s investor protection mandate and expressed gratitude to Ambassador Kapasi for his dedication to promoting Uganda as a prime investment destination.
The SHIPU head also extended an invitation to the investors to explore and enjoy the natural beauty of Uganda, famously known as the Pearl of Africa.
The delegates assured Colonel Nakalema of their willingness and commitment to invest in various sectors, including hospitality, real estate, and among others.
The meeting, facilitated by Willy Mutenza who is also the Chairman of the Uganda-UK Trade Summit, aimed to strengthen investment ties and explore new opportunities in Uganda.
