KH MOBILITY OFFICIALS EXPLORE INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES IN UGANDA’S AUTOMOBILE INDUSTRY

Earlier today, a high-level delegation from KH Mobility Co Ltd, led by Chairman Mr. Lee Kyo-Hyong and Vice Chairman Mr. Kyunghoo Kim, who also serves as Chairman of the Korean Association Uganda, paid a courtesy visit to the State House Investment and Privatisation Unit (SHIPU). The visit was part of their broader consultations with various agencies in Uganda’s investment ecosystem.
The delegation also included representatives from Yes Mission Korea Foundation, including Ms.Catherine Nalubega KH Mobility Co Ltd, based in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, South Korea, has expressed keen interest in investing in Uganda’s automobile industry. Their visit aims to assess the investment climate by engaging with different Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) involved in the automobile value chain.
The company envisions a significant role in commercial vehicle production as a strategy to contribute to Uganda’s economic modernization. With the growing demand for automobiles in Uganda and the broader East African region, KH Mobility officials are optimistic about the feasibility of establishing a local manufacturing or assembly facility.
SHIPU has reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with MDAs to facilitate and guide potential investors through Uganda’s investment landscape. By ensuring an efficient and supportive investment climate, SHIPU aims to attract and retain investors who can contribute to Uganda’s industrial growth and economic transformation.
KH Mobility’s engagement with Ugandan authorities is expected to yield valuable insights that will shape their investment decisions. As Uganda continues to position itself as a strategic investment hub, collaborations with global players like KH Mobility Co Ltd highlight the country’s potential in the automobile sector.
